Role Persona is a career-change guide for people who know they want something different from their work but have not yet found the words for what.
Who it’s for
Working professionals in the United States, employed or recently displaced, who are considering a meaningful change and want more than a list of job titles. Not everyone; that person, at that moment.
Most career tools start at the application. Role Persona starts earlier, at the question that actually holds people up: which direction is worth my next year?
What we do
The Assessment is a short, guided conversation rather than a questionnaire. You talk about the work you have done, what energized you and what wore you down, and the real constraints you carry. From that, Role Persona produces a personalized result: a small set of career directions worth exploring, the reasoning behind each one drawn from your own words, what still needs checking, and a clear next move.
The free result is a personalized preview of your themes and possible directions. The expanded report described afterwards is part of a proposed product and is not currently available.
How we think about career change
- Direction before applications
- Choosing where to aim is the hard part. Resumes and interviews are easier once that is clear.
- Hypotheses, not verdicts
- A career direction is something to test with a low-risk real-world step, not a label to accept. We show our reasoning and what we are unsure about.
- Your words, not a type
- Role Persona does not administer a personality or aptitude test and does not assign you a type or a score. It reads what you tell it and reflects it back with structure.
- Honest about limits
- The guide is AI. Role suggestions come from general model knowledge, not live vacancies or labour-market data, so they are starting points to verify rather than current facts.
Where we are
Role Persona is early. Today it is the Assessment and its result. We are also exploring a fuller product that would support people through the whole transition, from choosing a direction to testing it and acting on it; it is proposed, not available, and we are asking people who finish the Assessment whether they would want it.
